Nigeria: Northern CAN Chairman meets El-rufai over S/kaduna killings

Kaduna- Executive secretary Nigeria Christian pilgrim commission, NCPC and Chairman Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, 19 Northern States and Abuja, Rev. Dr. Yakubu Pam has strongly appeal against apportioning blames and sentiment.

Rev. Pam made the remarks in a speach during what he described as condolence visit to Governor Nasir El-rufai over the recent killings of inecent people in southern kaduna.

CAN leader said he was deeply touched with the recent turn of events in Southern part of kaduna State where “innocent lives were been perished” due to crises that rocked the area.

Why he commended critical stakeholders in kaduna State and governor El-rufai for step so far taken to protect and secure lives of innocent persons in rulal communities, the CAN leader pleaded with the governor to push for further intervention towards resolving the protracted violence rocking southern kaduna, to secure the innocent lives being lost.
In an interview with newsmen on Friday, Rev. Pam said he also met with State CAN leaders and encouraged them to speak out frankly but with advisory on way forward.

He said on his part he’ll do everything possible within his reach to critically engaged eminent religious bodies such as CAN, Jamaatu Nasir lslam, JNI, Miyetti Allah cattle breeders association, community and indigenous people of southern kaduna to open dialogue toward resolving the crises.
He pleaded that people should stopped apportioning blames and work together collectively without sentiment to safe and secure innocent lives of Nigerians, particularly the people of southern kaduna.

Pam however advised government to deploy more troops to the crises ridden areas to curtail the incident of incessant killings of innocent lives.
Why he called on the affected communities to remain calm, Pam appealed to kaduna State and federal government and other humanitarian organizations to urgently assist people displaced as a result of the crises.
