..Empowers 80 in Kaduna

Kaduna- Nigerian brewery (NB) Plc has empowered 80 people mostly Women, youths and disabled person’s from host community in Kaduna state.
The gesture was part the 2020 NB empowerment programme for host community partners in collaboration with technology incubator centre (TIC) kaduna, Small and Medium Enterprises Debt Agency of Nigeria, SMEDAN, kaduna respectively.
The brewery top management said that a total of N50 million was committed for the 2020 empowerment programme for women and youth taken place across five states in the country.
The brrewery manager kaduna, Mr Abe Ajayi, in an interview said the beneficiaries were empowered through training on various trades and skills acquisition including cosmetology, painting, pottery/hatchery and health appliance.
Mr.Ajayi who spoke to newsmen at the end of virtual launch of the empowerment programme at the premises of kaduna brewery on Wednesday, said the empowerment would create employment and reduced unemployment and crimes among jobless youth.
Also in an address, the Corporate affair Director NB PLC Mrs Sade Morgan said those trained in 2019 by NB in other host communities testified of the empowerment and are doing well with their trades, citing example of a graduate who was trained on solar energy.
The Director who also spoke on the important of the empowerment noted that Nigerians leaved on entrepreneural skill due absent of white collar job, adding that the essence is to create sustainable impact through skills acquisition.

Traditional rulers and other personalities took part in the virtual launch of programme in which the distribution of empowerment materials took place at Romi new extension on Wednesday for the 80 beneficiaries in kaduna.
