Insecurity in Nigeria: Kankara school boys released after heavy ransom – sources

Abducted Kankara science secondary school boys have regains freedom from their abductors amdist jubilations across the state.

Katsina state Government authoritatively said hundreds of the students abducted from Science Secondary School Kankara, Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State have been released.

The Government of katsina state is yet to disclosed how much money was paid as intervention for the quick released, a source said heavy random in the range of billions of naira, was committed to project.

The State Governor, Aminu Masari, who confirmed the release of the students on Thursday, a week after they were kidnapped by gunmen in their school, said the boys are presently safe in Tsafe, a local government area in Zamfara State.

Governor Masari however said that the boys would be brought to Katsina, to ascertain their health status before handing over to their parents.
