Residents of Angwan Magaji and Ungwan Doma in Kakau Ward of Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Saturday morning, blocked the Kaduna-Abuja Highway, while protesting an attack on their communitieswhich they said had led to loss of four lives.
An eyewitness, Peter Usman told our correspondent that the blockade was around Ungwan Doma before Kakau, interchange along the Kaduna-Abuja Highway.
According to him, the villagers claimed that the attack took place on Friday night.He said the visibly angry villagers said they blocked the road to draw government’s attention to their plight.
The source who said he was on his way to Abuja, but had to alight from the vehicle he boarded initially,take a motor bike and move beyond the fly over, before boarding another vehicle for Abuja.
So far, attempts to contact the Police Public Relations Office proved abortive as calls to his phone went unanswered
