Armed men reportedly invaded a Hilltop Hotel at Tunga Maje in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and abducted its owner and other guests.
The assailants were said to have attacked the hotel, located at Unguwar Jikupa on Wednesday night, shooting sporadically into the air.
The hotel owner identified as Prince Adejo alongside six others were reportedly abducted and whisked off to an unknown location.
The Police spokesperson in the FCT, ASP Mariam Yusuf, while confirming the case, only said, “The command has launched a strategic operation to rescue the victims unhurt”, Daily Trust reports.
Tungan-Maje in the FCT has witnessed a succession of abductions in recent times as kidnappers had attack the area no fewer than five times in the last six months.
