Hunter Council of Nigeria rounds up 4 days workshop, Promise to secure schools from bandits, seek FG’s support

The Hunter Council of Nigeria which has organized a 4 day capacity training workshop for its personnel in Yola, Adamawa State .

The Workshop had in attendance personnel of HCN from Adamawa, Taraba, Gombe, Yobe and Borno States.

Welcoming all participants, Commander surveillance for Adamawa State Hunter Council of Nigeria, Salihu Buba Wobkenso said that importance of the hunters in cannot be underestimated.

He further added that due to the role played by the HCN in beating down the challenges of insecurity, Nigerians all over the country had began to appreciate the Organization
.

Commander Wobkenso said that the

” HCN in conjunction with National Central Parent Teachers Association through the Federal Ministry of Education has come out with an initiative.

“The initiative is called, School Safe Initiative, SSI which empowers the HCN to protect all school children in the country from being kidnapped.

Wobkenso pledged that from now, that no school children would be abducted and taken to the forest in the name of banditry.

“I can assure you that from today, l School children would be protected from kidnappings and abduction.

To this end, Commander Wobkenso, solicited for prayers from the royal fathers and religious clerics.
I urged all the clerics and ulamas to pray for us so that we can protect the society.

Responding, chief of Staff to the Commander General of Hunter Council of Nigeria, Mr. Obadofin Olayinka has urged personnel of the group to be disciplined, dedicated and to respect constituted authority.

Mr. Olayinka who was speaking on behalf of the Commander General, Ambassador Osatemehin Joshua charged men and women of to give the police, Department of State Security, DSS and Army personnel maximum cooperation in the fight against terrorism.

“Respect constituted authority, you have not been legalised. You must respect the Nigeria Police, the DSS and the Army

You must give them the maximum support in the fight against terrorism, he added .
