World Boxing Champion (WBC) Bashi Ali has revealed that how he resuscitated boxing from total dead and became the Messiah of Boxing in Nigeria and perhaps West Africa entirely.
He disclosed this in statement he personally articulated and made available to our correspondent.
Bashi Ali, the only boxer in the world boxing title holder in the universe who did first boxing a amature level in the world.
“I am the ONLY boxer in the world to win a WORLD BOXING TITLE without first boxing as an AMATEUR. I am the ONLY Boxer in the world to win every Cruiserweight Title CONCEIVABLE: California, United States Boxing Association (USBA), North America Boxing Federation (NABF), World Boxing Council International (twice)& the current World Boxing Federation Champion.
“When i had my FIRST world title defense in Nigeria on Dec 5, 1987, boxing was dead in the country. I resuscitated the game from the dead & became the JESUS CHRIST of Boxing in Nigeria.
“On September 9, 2000, i intimated, broke down physically & knocked out then World Boxing Champion, Terry Ray, USA, to win the World Title. I became the BLACK MOSES of Boxing because i took Nigeria to the Promise Land of Boxing”, he said.
