The Chairman Northern Speakers Forum, Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Rt. Honourable Yusuf Ibrahim Zailani has commiserated with no fewer than 500 farmers in Gadan Gayan Panshanu ward, Igabi Local Government Area Kaduna State, who lost thier farm produce as a result of floods caused by a torrential rainfall.

He expressed this in a statement signed by his SA Media and Publicity, Ibrahim Dahiru Danfulani, dated Thursday August 5, 2021.

“Losing of growing crops at this time in our nation’s history is a sad development and affects all of us.

“This is because of food security threats and rising cost of staple items,” he said.

Zailani advised them to be strong, assuring that the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government at the federal, state and local government level is deeply concerned about their welfare and would do all within its resources to assist them.

He advised all citizens of the state to take early warning signs of flooding serious and prevent it through positive habits.

“I urge all to avoid blocking waterways and dumping of refuse in water channels,” he said.
