Community suffers 5 months power outage after paying ‘ransome’ to the officials

Five months down the line, residents of Angwan Boro in Sabon Tasha, Chikun local government area of Kaduna is denied of electricity Supply.
Each household in the area reportedly contributed over N4000 to assist Kaduna Electric Company ratify the power problem but till today no solution has been found. The community is still painfully in darkness.

Investigation uncovered that the community youth leaders were compelled to also task the residents to contribute the money around May/June, when the Electric Company could not restored the fault for months.

It was not clear at the time of filling this report, whether or not, the transformer supplying power to the community is the problem.
Eyewitness sources however told our reporter that it has become an everyday promises to the community that the fault would soon be corrected in the past two weeks.
Residents of the area especially most of those involved in business driven by electricity had decried untold hardship as a result of the five months power outage.

They therefore appealed to the relevant authorities to intervene for the benefit of the community and their business which required electricity.

It was learnt that the power outage started around March and April this year when the community have been facing blackout due to the problem without solution despite out cries.
Contacted, the company Communication managers Alh. Abdulazeez and Idris Mohammed could not respond before the time of filling this reports.
