Daily Updates Newspaper has been reliably informed that armed men stormed the Nigeria Defence Academy, Afaka killing and kidnapping military personnel .
However, there are conflicting reports as to the number of officers killed or kidnapped by the bandits
According to one source,
“The bandits launched a daring assault on the permanent site of Nigeria’s premium Military Institution killing in an officer while kidnaping two others
However, another source told Daily Updates Newspaper that
the suspected bandits came in huge numbers in the early hours of Tuesday, August 24, Kidnapped one Major, while a Flight Lt and a Lt Commander were said to have been shot dead
Another officer a lieutenant was said to have sustained injury during the gun duel
All attempts to reach the NDA authority proved abortive
The Nigerian Defence Academy, NDA is located in Afaka which is close to the School of Forest Mechanization where close to 40 students were kidnapped early this year
