Senator Abdullahi Adamu has said that President Muhammadu Buhari is determined to implement the 2022 budget to the latter and also to execute all the projects captured in the 2022 budget as the incoming administration may not find it expedient to do so.
The Senator was speaking on Thursday, 7 October 2021 following the presentation of 2022 appropriation bill to the joint session of the National Assembly.
According to the Senator,
” This is going to be the last budget that President Buhari’s administration would see from beginning to the end
“Though, he would present the 2023 budget, he will not be in office to see it to the end of the year, so the emphasis on the 2022 budget is that there are projects captured by the 2022 budget which the President is committed to making sure that they are completed.
“This is necessary for the President to do, so that the party can get the kind of support it got in 2018”, Adamu added
The law maker also revealed that though the President may not oversee the 2023 budget to the end, but he is going to initiate projects that are considered very important to the country in that budget.
