…says power shift not constitutional

Ahead of the 2023 general elections, the women and youth of All Progress Congress (APC) northwest zone has rejected the position of the southern governors on the rotation of presidency.

The APC Northwest Zonal youth leader, Hon. Abubakar Sadiq Fakare said this on Tuesday during a press conference in Kaduna.

He said ” there is no provision in the constitution for zoning of the presidency. It is by merit and not by zonings”.

“We are after who will deliver, the person who can deliver elections for us “.

He also disclosed that young persons are going to emerge as the leaders of our country come 2023, he said.

“As a party we are canvassing for more inclusion of young persons into the party”.

“It will interest you all to know that, Women and youth have constituted about 70% out of the 40 million APC registered members”.

“We have equally constituted about 55% of the APC party executives that emerged from the Wards and Local Government respectively”.

“We are using this medium to appreciate President Muhammadu Buhari who believed in the financial freedom of Nigerian Women and Youth and stand firmly as the various economic programs initiated by him is putting smiles on the faces of million Nigerians”.

“When we combine the achievements of President Muhammadu Buhari on ecenomic empowerment and Governor Mai Mala on party reform, Nigerian Women and Youth will definitely take charge come 2023”.
