Some Scores numbers of people have been trapped under the rubble as a 21-storey building collapsed in Lagos on Monday, November 1, 2021.

The building said to have been under construction which is located at Gerard Road in upscale Ikoyi in Lagos Island.

Confirming the incident, the Lagos State police Commissioner, Hakeem Odumosu has updated the public numbers of the victims collapsed on 21-storey building at Gerrard Road, Ikoyi.said three people have been confirmed dead while three others were injured.

According to him, rescue team efforts were intensify to recover all others trapped alive.

Odumosu, urged members of the public to exercise caution and allow the rescue team workers to concentrate on their job to rescue those trapped at the collapse.

“We do not want to lose more lives; the rescue workers are working carefully to rescue those still trapped in the building. Let’s give them some space to allow them do diligent work,” he said.
