The Chairman House Committee on Inter-Parliamentary Relation and also Chairman Central Working Committee for the 51st Conference of Commonwealth Parliamentary Association CPA (Africa Region) Hon. Zakariyau Galadima has described the on-going CPA conference in Abuja as a success.
Hon.Galadima who spoke to newsmen on 11, November 2021 at the sideline of the ongoing conference said that the CPA has brought together national law makers from 18 countries in Africa and it has also brought together lawmakers from subnationalities of different countries within the Commonwealth including South Africa.
Galadima also revealed that another success recorded by the CPA conference was the fact that the CPA members were able to discourse in positive light the Covide-19 pandemic with the aim of finding solutions to it.
He also said that the ongoing conference would delibrate on how to navigate and cushion the effects of the pandemic on countries attending the conference, He said;
“The success of this conference is to ensure that we brought Africa Parliaments under CPA in the 18 countries and our regional sub-branches, state assemblies in Nigeria and South Africa together to start processing the way forward as far as the effects of Covid-19 pandemic is concern and also, what can the legislators present to respective countries and nations”.
