A Civil Society Organisation, the Pan-African Leadership League (PALL) has hailed what it described as giant strides of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration towards repositioning the country,
The Executive Director of the League Mr. Stephen Achi who made the commendation in a press statement issued in Kaduna on Wednesday, stated that the present administration has recorded landmark achievements that would stand the test of time.

Ieadership noted that the administration has initiated various development programmes since assumption of office.
He stressed that the programmes that are targeted towards turning the fortunes of Nigeria included the social intervention programmes where operators of small businesses are supported financially to enhance their activities.
The League Chief Executive also noted that the administration has equally revolutionised agriculture through enhanced rice production and other produce.
Mr Achi added that under the government’s Anchor Borrowers Agricultural programme with the support of the Central Bank of Nigeria, substantial number of farmers have benefitted from agric loans to enhance farming activities.
He contended that the ongoing Abuja – Kaduna – Kano Gas pipeline project of the President Buhari-led administration is worthy of note and commendable towards repositioning the economy. The Pan African Leadership League boss added that the transparent posture of the present administration had led to the introduction of the
Treasury Single Account (TSA) Policy in various government Ministries, Departments and Agencies to encourage prudent management of public
resources. According to Pan African Leadership League, government and politicians at national and state levels have however taken note of looming poverty featured on Nigeria’s population, under the present administration.
They have also taken steps to act and declare a commitment to lift millions of Nigerians out of poverty. “Government has also taken steps towards economic revitalisation to reduce poverty among the citizenry.
PALL also noted that with the passage of the long awaited Petroleum industry Bill (PIB), the President Buhari’s administration has reached a
milestone in an effort to give the industry a new governance framework.
“Among the key highlights, the bill proposes a commercially oriented and profit driven National Petroleum Company”, it stated.
The policy is however aimed towards adequate funding of the Petroleum industry. “The Executive Director of the Pan African Leadership League is of the view that the Nigerian Upstream Regulatory Authority Commission and the Nigerian Midstream and Down Stream Petroleum Regulatory Authority are to oversee the different segments of the petroleum industry.
“Of great importance, the government also set up communities fund designed to foster sustainable prosperity within the oil communities.
PALL further noted that no any President in Nigeria has ever achieved this landmark in the history of Nigeria.
