..Describes the party as evil, monster

River state Governor Mr. Nyeson Wike said the ruling All Progressive Congress
(APC) Party, has completely finished Nigeria as a country.
Wike made the assertion in a speech in Kaduna on Monday during his visit to Sen. Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi at his residence in the State.
“PDP is the only party in Nigeria that has hope. I didn’t come here to tell you I want to run for president. There must be party first of all for you to run for president. Our own is to make sure that our party is intact.
“Tomorrow, I am going to Plateau to tell Useni, to tell Jang that we cannot continue the way we are going.
“APC has finished Nigeria, let nobody tell you any other story, Plateau people will not forgive them if they don’t take back the state”, he said
He added that “This APC has finished Nigeria, let nobody tell you other story. There is nothing they can tell us now. “There have no any idea. If they had any idea, the didn’t use it. If you had promises for six years, it it one and a half year you are going to fulfil? I thank God you are back, to God be the glory”, he lamented.
Responding, his host Makarfi, the former Governor of kaduna State said “Thank Wike for the visit and for his support during my tenure as the National caretaker chairman of the PDP.
“With perseverance we can do it again. We have to be united beacuse a dead party cannot win elections.
“We will be disappointing Nigerians if we do not come together to salvage the country. There is alot of work to do”, he stated.
Wike’s words: My ambition is for PDP to be reunited. If you have a united party then you are sure of victory. Does it make sense if you have a presidential ticket of a party and the party cannot win election.
“So for me, the unity of the party is paramount. It is not about going about (Saying )you want to be President. For me it is how the party united and fight this evil, this monster they call the All Progressives Congress (APC).
I came here to see one of our leaders
“Why I came here has nothing to do with that. Why I came here is to see one of our leaders who just came back and who got a special grace has given us hope so as to be able able to lead the party in this state as against 2023 and encourage him to continue doing what he is doing.
Because it is surprising to me as an opposition party, the number of councillors PDP won in the last local government elections.
“It has never happened so we need to encourage them to let them know that we know what they are facing and they have support from us and that is why I came here.
“But about the issue of presidency is about PDP, the party will meet at the appropriate time and take a decision. It is not a one man decision, whether you zone it to West, East, North what is important is who will have the capacity to move Nigeria forward. Nigerians are waiting for us and we must bring somebody who has what it takes to move Nigeria from where we are to what every Nigerian expect.
“I am not the only one who have what it takes. We have many people who have what it takes. But at the appropriate time we will sit down and move forward.
“For me I have no other place other than PDP. When people are me come out they think I have special interest. The special interest I have is that this party should not be killed.
Only one man cannot solve this problem, we need the support of everybody- former governors, former ministers, present governors, ambassadors. It is important that we must work together but not I want to be President, I want to me President?, no, no, no. Time will come when PDP will look at those qualified. We are not going to it based on the fact that you are from south or north.
“Even if it is zone to the South or north we will sit down and look at people who have the capacity, who have the interest of the party, not when we work finished people will disappeared”, hesaid
