Terrorists have reportedly sacked about eight villages in Chikun local government area of Kaduna, South.
The villages include Kasaya, Kabala, Masala, Guyinda, Zankoro, Udawa, Kudo, Gorso and Banda respectively. The natives of the affected villages have allegedly fled to Buruku, a neighbouring community for safety when the terrorists activities intensified between last week and this week.
In a statement, a local source confided that “about eight villages fled to Buruku for safety due to the banditry activities that have bedeviled their areas. “Such villages are Kasaya, Kabala, Masala, Guyinda, Zankoro, Udawa Kudo, Gorso and Banda, all in Chikun local government area of Kaduna state between last week and this week.” They have abandoned their dry season farms as well as farm produced for safety”, he stated.
Recall that this medium recently reported that two young natives of two of the villages were killed recently and seven others abducted. All efforts to clarify with Kaduna state police command spokesman ASP Muhammed Jalige failed as he could neither respond to calls nor SMS.
