Neighbourhood in Ungwan Boro community in Sabon Tasha area of kaduna suburban is contributing money for ransom for a female member who was kidnapped by my terrorists.
The neighborhood for motives of charity decided to embarked on the self task to contribute the money to assist the family in paying the ransom which is over a million naira. They are doing this by passing the information from one person to another on account of “anything can serve.
Recalled that the victim who’s a popular roadside yams marketer in the area and house wife with children was last week kidnapped while she was in the yam market in Niger state to buy yams in wholesale.
It was gathered that the women was kidnapped by bandits along with five other of her colleagues who are also into buying and selling of yams from a market around Niger and kaduna states’ boundary.
The kidnapped victims who are alao residents in Kaduna state have their yams sales spots around Ungwam Boro area of Sabon Tasha environments.
Our correspondent who visited one of the victim’s sale stand last week Tuesday, at Ungwam Boro, gathered that the family have already been contacted by the terrorists in custody of their mother and demanded for N1.5 million as ransom after thorough bargaining.
According to the sources, the women traveled for their usual yam market to Niger state to purchased yams for sale during weekend when the was abducted.
Witnesses, including their driver also explained that the kidnapped victims had already purchased their goods, paid and were loading them into a Pickup van when the terrorists emerged from no where.
It was further learnt that many people, including the driver of the van scampered and ran away successively during the terror attack, while many others, mostly women who could not run faster, were abducted from the scene.
Efforts to reach police in Niger state proved abortive as the spokesman’s man could not be reached. We’ll keep you posted on subsequent unfolding events surrounding the incident.
