Unemployment: Foundation Asks FG To Simplify Mining Permit

A Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) under the aegis of Mirror of Wisdom Development Foundation has called on the Federal Government to simplify mining permit to reduce the rate of unemployment in the country.

The Founder of the Foundation, Goodnews Chukwudi Ihemefor made the call on Sunday 20th March, 2022 at launching of his book tilted;’The Shadow Called Nigeria’ in Kaduna State.

According to Ihemefor, the government should consider states resource control and ensure an easier approach to obtaining mining permit.

He said “for a rapid growth and a focused nation to emerge, an Independent ‘Think Tank’ is urgently needed. A nation operating only on political party vision may succeed but not as one with a defined national vision”.

Ihemefor noted that, there are limitations to the utilization of the nation’s natural resources, saying that there are so many hidden treasures.

According to him, there is need for the government to bridge the gap between urban and rural also private and public schools.

He therefore appealed to the government to create a hard work rewarding system for teachers and students, saying that it will encourage them do put in their best.

“Our government should create data base to monitor students and teachers performance.
Create opportunity for a collaborative development of public schools”.

While speaking, the Chief Launcher, Engr. Telema Commander Dokubo called on unemployed Nigerians to develop themselves with skills, saying that they should not wait for government to take care of them.

Engr. Dokubo called on the government to look at best graduating students and encourage them the way social media encouraged bad people in the society, he said.

He noted that there is need for the government to invest more in education.

On his part, the book Reviewer, Associate Prof. Bryan Onwumere reiterated that there are so many hidden treasures, adding that the hidden treasures is where the salvation of Nigeria lyes.

Onwumere encouraged the youth to go into artisan mining to extract all the hidden treasures, saying that all they needs is to get licens
