The Church of Christ Evangelical Intercessory and Life Intervention Ministry, located at Sabon Tasha, Kaduna state, on Friday 1st April 2022, extended its love to Muslims in the communities by distributing bags of grains of food items and praying materials as the poor ones preparing to for holy Ramadan fasting.
It has now become a tradition that every year, the church shared grains and other food items to over 500 poor Muslims residing in many communities to promote peace, unity, tolerance, love and better understanding among faith based organization in the state.
The General Overseer of the church Pastor Yohanna Buru, who lead a team of delegations from his congregation went out to Kano road mosque this morning to donate food items to the poor Muslims which include street beggars, and less privileged and widows.
Pastor Buru said, they have commenced the distribution of foodstuff to some Muslims to enable them have enough food during the 30-day fasting period in order to pray to almighty God to bring an end the rising insecurity challenges ,Banditry attacks, kidnapping and Covid 19 pandemic.
He also said that all hands must be on deck to support united nation to bring an end to Russian and Ukraine crisis tthat is affecting the whole nations
According to him “This is the six time the church is sharing bags of grains and other foodstuff to large numbers of street beggars, internally displaced person, children in orphanages and poor muslims in the community”
“This year Ramadan season comes amidst of increase insecurity challenges, high cost of foodstuff, general scarcity of petroleum, and other cooking stuff such as firewood and charcoal in the 19 northern states of the region.
“We do this every year to our Muslims brothers in kaduna and some part of the northern region with the aims of strengthens our relationship, boosting peaceful co-existance ,better understanding and religious tolerance among different faiths based organization so as to live in peace and harmony with every one irrespective of tribe, culture, ethnic, race, color and region”
“lt is also our joy to see that they used the 30 days of the holy Ramadan to pray to almighty God toward bring an end to the daily rising insecurity challenges bedeviling country’s peace, stability in the entire 19 northern states”, he said.
“We must remember that we are one family under God, worshipping one God, and we are from the family of Adam and Eve, therefore we must join hands to support each other in what ever condition,”.
“Our target this year is to rich out to over 500 if we can and that is why we are calling on other wealthy individual across the state to support the poor”, he stated.
The cleric further called on wealthy Muslims to equally remember the less-privileged, the poor, the IDPs and widows in the society, so that they can participate fully in the 30 days of Ramadan fasting with ease.
While congratulating Muslims on the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan, he urged Imams and Ulamas to intensify prayers for peace and unity of the country.
He also called on Muslims imams and scholars across the 36 states of the country to embarked on ceaseless prayers, for God to save the universe against all the crisis affecting the world
Responding Mallam Sama’ila who is the leader of person with disabilities at doka districts expressed satisfaction, saying that Pastor Buru is the only one that always remember them, calling on wealthy individuals to always remember them.
He called on all Nigerian to embrace peace and unity, while calling on government to end banditry attack in all the communities forth with.
