35 Priests attend Kaduna Wedding ceremony in Barnawa

A high profile Church wedding solemnization of Lt. Donald Francis Maimagani and Patience Yohanna might have come and gone.
But the uniqueness in terms of creams of dignitaries and personalities who graced one of the most colorful ceremony may remain in memories for decades.

Rev. Frs. Present at the Wedding Mass

This is apparent given the fact that the wedding ceremony was attended by so many Catholic Priests. Speaking to newsmen shortly after the wedding mass, Vicar – General Administration of the Catholic Archdiocese of Kaduna and Parish Priest of Holy Family Barnawa, Kaduna, Rev. Philip Gaya said out of 100 priests estimated about 35 of them attended the wedding ceremony from across the states and FCT. He however revealed that the elder brother of the groom is the Acting Director Chaplaincy of Roman Catholic, Nigeria Army.

Rev. Gaya, who’s also a cousin to the groom noted that as Acting Director Chaplaincy of the entire Nigeria army, the groom’s elder brother traveled a lots and got familiar with many priests who showed interest in coming to witness the younger brother’s wedding in Kaduna.

Also in an interview with the most senior brother of the groom and Acting Director Chaplaincy of Nigeria army, Rev. Father Col. Anthony Frances Maimagani
expressed joy for the successful wedding of his younger brother he describing as calmed, focused and a gentle soldier.
Col. Maimagani who led the priests and the wedding Church Services described priesthood as one big brotherhood family where blood is thicker than water, attributing it to the reason for unusual turnout of priests at the ceremony.

He however advised the newly wedded couple to see themselves as one and prayed for them to live in peace.

Both couple who were overwhelmed with joy and happiness, thanked God Almighty for what they both described as friendship that started little like play and ended in a successful wedding.
