The Director of Pontifical Mission Society (PMS) and the Associate Parish Priest of Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Rev Fr. Patrick Bako Zichiyang flowed with the children of the parish in a more practical way when he officiated their Mass inside the Parish St Pope John Paul II Hall on Sunday, 27th March 2022.
The priest who had initially explained the meaning of Laetare Sunday (Rejoicing Sunday), asked the children questions from the Gospel of the day which was centered on the Parable of the Prodigal son.
In response, the enthusiastic children offered varying answers and those who answered correctly were rewarded with gifts of the Holy Rosary and ‘Junior Abide in My Word’ book. One of the questions asked stated thus; “What are the three gifts the prodigal son’s father wore this returned son?” And a child answered, purple rob, ring and shoes. This also won the child gifts as mentioned above.
