The need for continuous engagement and peaceful dialogue among adherents of different religious beliefs in the country has been advocated.

Reverend Joshua Anyam appealed to both christians and Muslim amongst others to work towards forging a common goal against the enemy of unity in the country.

“We must understand, respect, and protect our differences rather than allowing division because all of us are facing similar challenges in our various groups or religion”,he said.

He expressed satisfaction with the level of response gotten from the Muslim community whenever there was the need to talk on peace and related issues ,adding that it was in the interest of us all to live in peace and harmony.

In his remark, the Executive Secretary Sultan Bello mosque and Chief Imam Sadauna mosque Kawo, Sheik Hamisu Ya’u called on religious leaders not to allow politicians bring politics to the mosque or church.

Sheik Hamisu Ya’u said both religion must respect one another and consider the humanity of each other first, rather than bringing to fore the religion we both practice, considering that we were created by the same God.

He admitted that only the Devil is the enemy of all religion, hence the need for unity to fight the common enemy, adding that without peace there will be no any form of development.
