Star openers
At the top of the order, Mohit admitted he faced a difficult choice between veteran Rohit Sharma and rising star Yashasvi Jaiswal for the opening slot alongside Shubman Gill. While Gill’s place appears certain as he is the leader of the side, Mohit suggested either Rohit’s vast experience or Jaiswal’s fearless approach could complement him effectively depending on form and team strategy.
Solid middle-order
The middle order features an established core of Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Ishan Kishan, and KL Rahul.
