England players surge in ICC rankings across formats

England skipper Harry Brook climbed 12 places in the ICC Men’s T20I Batting Rankings to enter the top 10 after dominating the five-match series against India, finishing with 229 runs at a strike rate exceeding 200 and claiming the Player of the Series award, sitting now with 734 rating points at seventh position. The emphatic display helped England dethrone India from the top of the T20I Team Rankings, ending a run of more than 1,600 days that began when India climbed to No.1 in February 2022.

Jos Buttler returned to form with a career-best 131 off 64 balls in the final T20I and moved up one spot to sixth in the batting rankings. The India skipper struck 11 fours and a six before retiring hurt off 75 balls to set India well on track for their chase. Axar Patel delivered a Player of the Match performance with 4/62 in the first innings and 57 not out in the chase, gaining 18 places in batting to sit at 73rd and entering the top 10 of all-rounder rankings at ninth spot.
