Huawei held a big event in Munich where we got to see its latest wearables as well as the global debut of the nova16s series smartphones. But those weren’t the only devices to take the stage, as the MatePad Pro 12 (2026) also made its global debut. The tablet was announced in China last month and brings

12-inch OLED with 3,036 × 1,952px resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate and 1,600 nits peak brightness. Huawei is also offering a PaperMatte Display version of the tablet, which features an anti-glare coating. Huawei is also offering two optional accessories with the M-Pencil Pro stylus and Glide Keyboard cover.

MatePad Pro 12 (2026) is just 4.7 mm thick while weighing 454 grams. There’s a Kirin T93 chipset under the hood, which is paired with 12GB RAM and 256/512GB storage. The tablet boots Huawei’s HarmonyOS 4.3.

In terms of battery, the version sold in the EU comes with a slightly smaller 9,760 mAh cell, while units sold elsewhere get a 10,400mAh cell. Regardless of the capacity, all versions support 66W wired charging.
