Ireland Women won the toss and opted to bowl, hoping to make early inroads into England’s batting order. However, England built a strong platform through Maia Bouchier and Dunkley. Bouchier struck 39 from 35 balls, finding the boundary six times, before departing after giving England a brisk start. Dunkley then took control of the innings and delivered the defining batting performance of the match. The right-hander compiled an impressive 119 from 119 deliveries, smashing 15 fours in a composed yet authoritative knock. Hunter top-scored for Ireland with 39 from 58 deliveries, while Tector made a patient 29 from 59 balls. Prendergast added 24 from 44 deliveries and Leah Paul chipped in with 22 from 31, but Ireland were unable to produce the substantial partnership required to challenge England’s total.
The lower order offered some resistance, with Louise Little scoring 14 from 17 balls, but wickets continued to fall at regular intervals. Ireland were eventually bowled out for 177 in 44.2 overs, falling well short of the target. Lauren Filer led England’s bowling effort with three wickets for 27 runs from 8.2 overs. Mady Villiers also claimed three wickets, conceding 33 runs from her eight overs, while Tilly Corteen-Coleman picked up two wickets for 34 runs.
