Realme teamed up with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products last year for the Realme 15 Pro Game of Thrones Limited Edition smartphone. Earlier this week, the company unveiled two more limited-edition products in partnership with Warner Bros., inspired by the Harry Potter universe. The products that got the Harry Potter treatment are the Realme 16 Pro and the Realme Buds T500 Pro TWS earphones. We received the Realme Buds T500 Pro Harry Potter Edition, so let’s check what’s on offer.
Let’s start by unboxing the Realme Buds T500 Pro Harry Potter Edition’s retail package, which is about the size of a smartphone box and is easily one of the coolest retail packages we’ve seen for earphones. It has Realme and Harry Potter logos on it, along with the Hogwarts crest featuring animals representing the four houses of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. You can also notice a banner below the crest displaying the Latin phrase “Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus,” which translates to “Never tickle a sleeping dragon.”
The package and its contents have a brown-gold color theme, called “Magic Brown” by Realme. The box comes with the Realme Buds T500 Pro Harry Potter Edition, an earbuds case, a lanyard for the case, and a container for the user guide and warranty card. You also get a couple of extra pairs of ear tips of different sizes.
The charging case of the Realme Buds T500 Pro Harry Potter Edition has a faux leather finish, giving it a premium in-hand feel. It also improves grip and resists fingerprint smudges. We like it.
The front of the charging case features a shiny Hogwarts crest, with an LED indicator below it. Flip the case around, and you see a shiny Harry Potter logo and a USB-C charging port. You can also see “Welcome to Hogwarts” written on the lid’s hinge. On the right side of the charging case is a lanyard connector, and up top is the Realme logo.
Realme Buds T500 Pro Harry Potter Edition
The earbuds come in a brown-gold color theme, with the stem featuring the letter ‘H’. The stems are shiny, reflective, and glossy, and they smudge easily, requiring constant wiping to keep them pristine.
Let’s turn our attention to the suitcase-style earbuds case, which looks pretty cool. It has a leather-like finish and a small handle on top for carrying. The Hogwarts crest sits on the front, while loops on the left and right sides let you attach the lanyard.
That lanyard isn’t ordinary either. It’s more of a college-style knitted crossbody strap, with the Hogwarts crest and Harry Potter’s owl, Hedwig, attached.
And that’s pretty much it about the Realme Buds T500 Pro Harry Potter Edition. Its features are the same as the standard Buds T500 Pro, but it costs more. In India, the standard Buds T500 Pro – coming in Chocolate, Lemon Cola, and Orange Mint colors – are priced at INR3,199, while the Harry Potter Edition is priced at INR6,999.
