Sri Satyatma Teertha Swami, seer of the Uttaradi math, was injured in a road accident near Hubballi on Saturday (September 26, 2026) night. The math has clarified that he is out of danger and is under treatment in a private hospital in Hubballi.
An SUV carrying the seer met with an accident near the Water Park on the Pune-Bengaluru National Highway while he was traveling from Dharwad to Savanur in Haveri district. Some others, including Sri Shashidharacharya, were also injured in the incident. They were rushed to a private hospital in Hubballi.
Vidyadhishacharya Guttal, CEO of Uttaradi math, issued a clarification regarding the incident and appealed to devotees not to pay heed to the speculations circulating about the accident.
“The Seer has sustained only minor internal injuries. There is no need for devotees to panic. Everyone should pray for the Seer’s health and for the well-being of all,” said a release.
