Zaheer Khan has started working on the support staff setup after taking charge as the new head coach of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2027.
One of the key positions still under discussion is the batting coach of the Chennai Super Kings, with Michael Hussey’s future in the role yet to be confirmed. Earlier, Ravichandran Ashwin among three to have stands named after them at Chepauk.

As reported by Cricbuzz, the former Australian batter Michael Hussey is unlikely to work with the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL 2027. The report suggests that the new head coach Zaheer Khan has several options in mind for the position of CSK’s batting coach.
The former Indian fast bowler has shortlisted three to four names as he looks to build his coaching team before the auction later this year. The process of finalizing the support staff is currently underway, with Zaheer expected to make decisions on the different roles soon.
