Behind RCB’s maiden trophy win in the IPL 2025 season, the keeper-batter played a pivotal role. In the final match of the IPL 2025, Sharma came to bat at number 6 to add 24 off 10 with a couple of 4s and a couple of 6s. Those 24 runs proved very crucial, as RCB defeated Punjab Kings only by 6 runs to claim their major IPL trophy.

After spending three seasons with Punjab Kings, Sharma joined Bengaluru ahead of the 2025 season. For RCB, the 32-year-old played 15 matches and 11 innings to score 261, including a highest score of 85 Not Out. With a batting average of 37.28, it was his best IPL season.

In the upcoming Indian Premier League season, Sharma again will be in action with RCB. This time, expectations will be higher on them, as they will be performing as the defending champions.
