Apple is new product launch next weekHOW confirmed this morning from CEO Tim Cook. The iPhone 17e will be one of those launches, here are the new features to expect.
A19 chip

iPhone 17e is EXPECTED to include the latest generation A19 chip. This is the exact same chip that launched in the iPhone 17 last fall.
By giving its budget model the A19, Apple is making the iPhone 17e future-proof for users who don’t update too often. The power and efficiency of the A19, combined with its Neural Engine for AI tasks, will make the iPhone 17e stack up nicely against more expensive models.
MagSafe support

When the iPhone 16e launched last February, it offered many modern features at a lower price. But among the most important omissions, lack of MagSafe it might have been more painful.
MagSafe has been part of the iPhone lineup since 2020, when the iPhone 12 debuted. So by removing it from the iPhone 16e, Apple not only rejected a great charging solution, but also removed support for a large ecosystem of MagSafe accessories.
Fortunately, the iPhone 17e is EXPECTED to add MagSafe support. The voice of users over the past year has been clearly heard.
18 MP center stage front camera

One of the most surprising features rumored for the iPhone 17e is the front-facing camera.
iPhone 17e will RECITED get the new 18MP Center Stage front-facing camera that first debuted on iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro last fall.
No other camera changes are expected — for example, the iPhone 17e will still only have one rear camera. But the addition of Center Stage’s familiar new front-facing camera is a big improvement.
C1X and N1 wireless chips

The iPhone 16e was the first model to offer an Apple-designed 5G modem: the C1. However, it didn’t take long for Apple to ship a second-generation chip, as the C1X arrived last fall with significant speed increases.
rumor SAY The iPhone 17e will add this newer C1X cellular modem and also gain the N1 wireless chip that handles Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Thread.
It’s still early in Apple’s wireless silicon era, but we’ve already seen some benefits of Apple-designed chips, and that’s likely to hold true for years to come.
Maybe: Dynamic Island instead of level

A long-standing rumor about the iPhone 17e is that its design will changewith the level replaced by a dynamic island.
Recently, however, rumors have disputed whether this change is actually happening.
Dynamic Island would be a nice improvement for two reasons:
- The iPhone 17e would have a more modern look, appearing very similar to all other modern iPhones
- Dynamic Island software features will be available on the ‘e’ line for the first time
I’ve been a huge fan of Dynamic Island since it debuted with the iPhone 14 Pro. While I hope the iPhone 17e gets the new feature, I’d also understand if Apple chooses to keep it level. The move could push buyers toward the more expensive $799 iPhone 17.
New iPhone 17e features: lock
The iPhone 17e is expected to keep the same $599 price tag as its predecessor, and there’s even a chance it will increase the base storage from 128GB to 256GB.
Whether that happens or not, the improvements above make the iPhone 17e an attractive, modern iPhone at a compelling price. The main disadvantages of the ‘e’ model are a 60Hz display without ProMotion, no camera control and only a rear camera. But those shortcomings aside, $599 still sounds hard to beat.
