Nothing has revealed the pink color variant of its upcoming mid-range smartphone Nothing Phone (4a), ahead of its global launch on March 5, 2026. The company had earlier showcased the device in White and confirmed Blue and Black options – Pink now joins the lineup as a bold new colour.
The new glyph interface: compact, vertical and smarter
Nothing has also detailed a refreshed Glyph interface for the phone (4a). Unlike previous models, the new layout features six white LEDs arranged vertically on the right side of the camera module, along with a red LED that acts as a recording indicator.
Glyph features include:
- Multiple notification templates like Dolphin, Wings and more
- The hourglass effect carried over from the Nothing Phone (3), despite the single-column LED display
- Glyph progress indicators
- Camera timer countdown
- Visual feedback of the camera diaphragm
The Glyph’s updated design aims to preserve functionality while adopting a more minimal and compact form factor.
Nothing has confirmed that the camera bump is thinner than on the Phone (3a). This is made possible by the use of a telephoto tetraprism lens, helping to reduce the overall length of the camera while maintaining imaging capabilities.
Launch Pink campaign across London and India
To celebrate the unveiling of pink, Nothing rolled out a series of playful and unconventional promotional activities:
- Disturbing pink graffiti posters fly across central London with cultural references linked to the colour
- A pink graffitied take of the Nothing Store Bengaluru window.
These activations align with Nothing’s unprecedented branding and design-led marketing approach.
Lucy Birley, Color Material Finish Design Lead at Nothing, discussed the inspiration behind the pink color, noting: “There are a lot of amazing old-tech references that we come back to very often. The pink is really just a deep red, and when we put the shade inside the transparency, because of the way the light interacts with the resin underneath, you get this look of our products really visible. you have all these details under the transparency, so it’s so nice to celebrate that.”
