During the break, Patidar and Padikkal were waiting for refreshments when an umpire picked up the RCB skipper’s water bottle and casually drank from it as if it belonged to him.

Patidar was shocked and a little irritated after watching this, and then he quickly rushed over and grabbed the bottle back.

Rajat Patidar said at the post-match presentation, “It feels great, but at the same time, if you play good cricket, it gives a lot of satisfaction among the team. I think initially the ball was stopping a bit. The way Phil and Virat bhai played innings, I think that was super. And after that, the way the team changed the way, I think I enjoyed a lot of sixes from the dugouts and from the non-striker end.”

Speaking about his plan, the RCB captain said that he just wanted to stay at the crease and attack the bowlers. Patidar signed off by saying, “Yes, I think my mindset was pretty clear. As long as I’m there, I always try to put the pressure on the bowler. And at the same time, I’m lucky that team was there. So yeah, as I said, I was enjoying the sixes.”

They will next face the Rajasthan Royals (RR) on April 10 in Guwahati. They are currently topping the table with four points from two games so far in the tournament.
