RCB batter Phil Salt pulled out a stunning catch to dismiss Rishabh Pant after the LSG skipper returned to rescue his team from a tight spot in the death overs.
The Royal Challengers Bengaluru bowlers have been doing some really good work as they have bowled effectively against a few of the most powerful batting sides in the tournament. Credit goes to the experience of the likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Josh Hazlewood and Krunal Pandya, blended with the immense control and accuracy from the likes of young Suyash and Rasikh Dar.
However, what has helped these bowlers in the RCB camp is their fielders. RCB, unlike other teams, has produced some of the most extraordinary records on the field, as they have not tended to drop many catches that went up and have also stopped runs on the field.
Phil Salt dismissed Rishabh Pant with a stupendous effort on the field
RCB have been at the top of their game with their fielders backing their bowlers diligently. Salt has been one of the stunning names. on the field for the Challengers and have featured as one of their key fielders in the deep.
He had taken a stunning catch formerly against the Sunrisers, dismissing the skipper Ishan Kishan in the first game at this same venue. He has once again done it at the same venue, dismissing the skipper of another franchise in the Lucknow Super Giants.
As Rishabh Pant returned to take the field, he swept a ball from Bhuvneshwar Kumar that went towards a gap between the deep mid-wicket and the square leg fielder, but Salt covered great ground and took a sharp catch diving forward. Pant had to depart without troubling the scorers a lot.
