Prince Yadav is among the few uncapped emerging bowlers who have made an impact in the ongoing IPL 2026 season. The Delhi-born pacer is in good form with the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). Like many other young stars in the country, Prince, too, has the desire to play for the national team.
Lucknow Super Giants shared a video from their official social media accounts to highlight Prince Yadav’s dream as a cricketer. Through the Indian Premier League, many young talents came under the spotlight and then went on to play for Team India.
Will Prince Yadav get a chance to play the 2027 ODI World Cup?
Pacers like Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, Mayank Yadav, and multiple other bowlers got opportunities to represent the senior team in the highest order of the game. If Prince Yadav continues his form in the upcoming days, then he can take a step further towards his dream.
Prince Yadav wants to play for Team India in the ODI World Cup 2027, alongside the Indian cricket legends Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Throughout their respective careers, Rohit and Virat have achieved a lot, both for the national cricket team and franchise teams.
Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are yet to touch the glory in the 50-overs format
Under the leadership of Rohit Sharma, the Men in Blue hoisted the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup title. As captain, he also secured the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy and was part of the winning squads for the 2007 T20 World Cup and 2013 Champions Trophy. In those triumphant campaigns, Virat Kohli was one of the main cogs of the team.
Both of the batters are already retired from Tests and T20Is, active only in the ODI format. It is speculated that the upcoming ODI World Cup could be their last top-tier assignment for Team India. Though there is nothing concrete about their retirements.
Prince Yadav wants to win the ODI WC for the two legends
The LSG pacer has the dream to play with Rohit and Virat in the upcoming ODI World Cup. Prince stated that Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have won every possible title during their career, except the ODI WC title. Yadav’s dream is to win the trophy for the icons.
“Right now, I am thinking when I will be able to play the 2027 World Cup with Virat and Rohit. And we will win that. If you see, they have almost all the trophies. 50-50 World Cup. Right now, they don’t have much. So, I would like India to win the 2027 World Cup. And I will be a part of that team. And if we win that, it will be a very good thing for them,” Prince Yadav said in the video.
