Smule India Featured Artists- Top list for the year 2022x

Introduction

In the past, the selection of featured singers that appeared on these Smule India blog pages was populated from the mail requests to the page from the community members (and that is you all readers and singers on the Smule India community), as well as from the peer suggestions. A personal interview call decided the final selection to a featured artist place. For a whole year in 2021, the process of accepting new featured artist requests was frozen for reasons for a combined decision from the admins to discontinue this process since it required an enormous amount of work behind the scenes. All these efforts are done as volunteers from the Smule India community. The main aim was to support each other and encourage young talents. More importantly, provide a platform for an amateur singer to tell about his/her music to a wider audience.

Since its inception, this page had been extremely popular all over the web bringing attention from music enthusiasts all over the world. It stands for a great culture that no other land can boast about. Despite a decision to discontinue these efforts the pressures were on from many of the singers from the Indian community to continue writing these pages. Thus for the last six months, we accumulated again all the requests of profiles from the emails and peer suggestions into a list and asked peers to grade the profiles for the purpose of identifying new talents from the Smule India community.

The first list contained 137 profiles initially short-listed from all the requests from the sub-continent India to be considered for a featured artist position on the India blog page. Thanks to enthusiastic community members who read these pages and corresponded through email contacts to request and encourage their fellow singers.

These 137 profiles were manually checked and assessed based on their singing quality and set criteria to grade them to form a final top 52 see below (see the table below). All in the following shortlist are eligible for an interview with the team, provided they respond before the 15th of December 2021. Only these singers in the table below need to send us your details using the link (see below as well). The final five featured artists will be selected based on an interview call
