However, PBKS batters came out with positive intent and powered their side to a commanding total of 210/5 in 20 overs.
While Punjab’s innings featured several aggressive knocks, one of the standout moments came in the powerplay when Delhi pacer Mukesh Kumar combined with fielder Auqib Nabi to remove dangerous opener Prabhsimran Singh through a spectacular catch near the boundary ropes.
Auqib Nabi takes a brilliant catch to remove Prabhsimran Singh
Prabhsimran looked eager to accelerate but struggled to find timing against the disciplined DC bowling attack. Mukesh smartly used the short-ball tactic to cramp the PBKS opener for room. Bowling a sharp delivery angled into the batter, Mukesh forced Prabhsimran into an awkward pull shot.
The ball flew high towards deep backward square leg where Nabi charged in from the boundary. Keeping his eyes firmly on the ball, Nabi slid forward at the last moment and completed a brilliant low catch to send Prabhsimran back to the pavilion. The dismissal came at a crucial stage of the innings as PBKS were looking to maintain momentum inside the powerplay. The catch quickly went viral on social media, with fans praising both Mukesh’s clever setup and Nabi’s athletic effort in the deep. Prabhsimran failed to convert his start into a substantial score, and Delhi Capitals managed to pull things back briefly after the breakthrough.

Despite losing wickets at intervals, Punjab Kings maintained an aggressive scoring rate throughout the innings.
