Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have brought in Delhi left-arm pacer Kuldip Yadav as Khaleel Ahmed’s replacement for the remaining matches of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2026 (IPL 2026).
The five-time champions had suffered a huge setback in April 2026 after their left-arm fast bowler Khaleel Ahmed was ruled out of the rest of the tournament because of a Grade 2 tear in his right quadriceps. He sustained that injury during CSK’s match against the Kolkata Knight Riders on April 14.

After medical checks and scans, doctors advised complete rehabilitation for around 10 to 12 weeks, which ended Khaleel’s IPL 2026 campaign. Since the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have chances to make it to the playoffs, they have reportedly roped in Kuldip Yadav for the remainder of the season.

Kuldip Yadav is not a big name in the IPL world, but he already has some experience in the tournament. He was part of the Rajasthan Royals in the 2021 and 2023 seasons and even played three matches for them. During that short stint, he managed to pick up two wickets.
