A four-day camp for 7,000 newly appointed Congress office-bearers has been scheduled from May 26 to May 29 at Tilak Bhawan, the state Congress headquarters. The sessions will be held division-wise.
The training programme is intended to familiarise new functionaries with party organisation, election procedures, and administrative responsibilities.
Harshvardhan Sapkal, Maharashtra Congress president, will be present. Specialists from different fields will offer guidance.
The appointments were made under the All India Congress Committee’s organisation-building campaign. For this exercise, the AICC appointed observers for each district. The state Congress also named two observers per district. These observers visited every district and taluka, collected applications from willing candidates, and conducted interviews.
Office-bearers for fronts, organisations, divisions, and cells have been appointed through this process.
Advocate Ganesh Patil, vice-president (organisation and administration), state Congress, said the process was carried out in a transparent manner. The training camp has been arranged for all newly appointed office-bearers. to hold training camp for 7,000 office-bearers.
