iPhone Fold vs iPhone Flip

There are two possible form factors for a foldable smartphone, colloquially known as Fold and Flip.

The Fold is a device that is roughly the same size as existing iPhones when folded and unfolds to a screen size close to that of the iPad mini. Production plans for the model are believed to be well advanced, having last year moved into what is known as engineering validation and testing, with about 100 prototypes produced.

Flip is the opposite approach. Instead of unfolding into a much larger display, it folds into a very pocketable device about half the height and width of existing iPhones. This is often referred to as a clamshell design, mimicking that of one of the most famous and popular phone models, the Motorola Razr.

Which is more attractive to you?

At this point, we don’t know if Apple plans to ever make a Flip iPhone. of Bloomberg Mark Gurman has only said that the company is considering it. A later report says that the company has tested onethough that was a very vague comment that could mean anything from a rough engineering prototype to something more finished.

However, it’s at least possible that at some point we’ll be able to choose between an iPhone Fold and an iPhone Flip. Assuming that’s the case, which of the two form factors has the greater appeal to you?
