Apple promotes upcoming Formula 1 season with Shot on iPhone campaign – 9to5Mac

Date:

Before broadcasting Formula 1 on Apple TVApple has worked with various teams to promote their new cars in iPhone Shot campaigns. As shown above, this includes a partnership with F1 newcomer Cadillac…

Using the iconic Shot format on the iPhone, Apple is showing various photos taken on the iPhone 17 Pro test of the Cadillac car and drivers in the garage.

Partnerships extend beyond just one team. Apple partnered with Red Bull to include the iPhone Shot campaign for their car launch, as well as a demo of some of the new engine parts through an Apple Vision Pro stage experience.

Based on the number of iPhone 17 pros hanging around the paddock during testing this week, there’s probably more to come.

It is unclear whether these are separate promotional deals that Apple reached with the teams individually, or whether part of the overall Apple-F1 broadcast deal included guarantees of promotional engagement with the teams.

As a reminder, if you’re in the United States, Apple TV is now the exclusive broadcaster of Formula 1. This means that all Grand Prix races, qualifying and practice sessions will be broadcast via the Apple TV app for Apple TV subscribers, starting with the first race weekend on March 7.

Apple TV subscribers also get access to F1.TV included as a free benefit, so die-hard fans can continue to use the same personalized app experiences they’re used to. You can link your account now to see the final round of testing sessions taking place next week.
