For some reason, the BCCI has made changes to the original schedule of the IPL 2026 season, as per which the venues for the CSK vs GT matches in this season have been swapped. The board has made a massive change in the revised schedule.
The IPL schedule announcement faced many issues before the start of the IPL. The BCCI hence decided to start with the announcement of just the schedule of the first 20 matches, while Devajit Saikia had mentioned that the remaining schedule would be announced after the announcement of the election dates across many states in India.
After the state elections for several states were declared, the BCCI considered those games, and the schedule was announced accordingly. However, once again, changes have been made to the original schedule due to political intervention.
