He achieved the landmark by dismissing Ayush Mhatre during the match, delivering a hard-length ball outside off stump that hurried the batter into a mistimed pull. The ball ballooned towards mid-off, where Rajat Patidar completed a safe catch, sealing a historic moment.
With this feat, Bhuvneshwar joined Yuzvendra Chahal in the elite 200-wicket club. He now has 202 wickets in 192 matches at an average of 27.25, underlining his consistency and longevity in the tournament. Chahal still leads the chart with 224 wickets, while Sunil Narine follows closely behind.

RCB dominate with bat and ball in high-scoring contest
RCB’s innings was built on collective brilliance. While Virat Kohli failed to impress, Phil Salt provided a steady start before Devdutt Padikkal accelerated the scoring with a fluent 50 off 29 balls. Skipper Rajat Patidar then anchored the innings with an unbeaten 48 off just 19 deliveries, displaying exceptional control and intent.
The highlight, however, was the explosive finish from Tim David, who smashed an unbeaten 70 off just 25 balls. His innings, laced with eight towering sixes, powered RCB to a formidable total of 250/3 in 20 overs. The finishing touch came through an unbroken 99-run partnership between Patidar and David, which came in just 35 balls and completely shifted the momentum in RCB’s favour.
In reply, CSK showed glimpses of resistance through Sarfaraz Khan’s half-century and Prashant Veer’s quickfire 43. However, the required run rate kept climbing, and wickets at regular intervals derailed their chase. Bhuvneshwar led the bowling attack with figures of 3/41, combining experience with precision to break crucial partnerships. CSK were eventually bowled out for 207 in 19.4 overs, falling well short of the target.
