Apple announced the iPhone 17e this week, and fixes one of the biggest problems with its predecessor by adding support for MagSafe.
There’s a robust ecosystem of MagSafe iPhone accessories on the market, and these are some of my favorites.
MagSafe charger
I am a big fan of Twelve South HiRise 3 Deluxe. I think it’s the best multi-device charger on the market, allowing you to charge your iPhone using MagSafe, along with your Apple Watch and AirPods. It has a compact design and holds your iPhone upright so you can use StandBy mode.

If you’re looking for something a little more basic, Apple’s MagSafe charging ball it’s an excellent choice. Offers faster wireless charging up to 25W.
MagSafe wallet
Apple’s first MagSafe-capable iPhone was the iPhone 12 in 2020. When I got the iPhone 12 Pro, I immediately switched to a MagSafe-compatible wallet and haven’t looked back since. I no longer carry any kind of “real” wallet.
There is a wide range of MagSafe wallets on the market. Apple’s first party FineWoven Wallet with MagSafe it’s a great choice, albeit a fairly basic one.
Moft also makes a true MagSafe smart wallet that works as a stand for your iPhone.
MagSafe car mount
Gone are the days of car mounts with cumbersome clips to hold your iPhone in place. MagSafe has enabled accessory manufacturers to create sleek and discreet car mounts for your iPhone.
Belkin’s MagSafe Vent Mount Pro it’s a great choice if you’re shopping on a budget. The only downside here is that Belkin’s accessory doesn’t charge your iPhone, so you’ll still need to plug it in manually. iOttie’s Velox Qi2 Mini it’s my recommendation for people who want a MagSafe mount that can also charge their iPhone.
If you drive a car without traditional vents, such as Tesla, Belkin too makes a Qi2 MagSafe phone mount that attaches to the back of your car’s infotainment screen. In my Ford Mustang Mach-E, I personally use one phone assembly by Jowuaalthough I can’t vouch for the latest generation model.
MagSafe battery
MagSafe has also enabled an innovative category of MagSafe battery packs. These attach magnetically to the back of your iPhone so you can charge on the go.
I use an iPhone Air, so I chose Apple’s official MagSafe battery — but it only works with the iPhone Air. It does not work with any other iPhone models.
Before I got the iPhone Air, I used it Anker Nano Power Bank. My friend Stephen Robles is obsessed with MagSafe battery packs and has a great video testing a ton of different options on the market. His favorite is Baseus Picogo Qi2.2 25Wand you can watch his full video below to understand why.
MagSafe PopSockets
PopSockets been around for ages, but I never gave them a shot until MagSafe came along. I didn’t care about the design of the sticker or having to use a case specifically designed for use with a PopSocket.
I don’t use a PopSocket with my iPhone Air, but I kept it handy when using the iPhone 16 Pro. Thanks to MagSafe, you can pick and choose when using a PopSocket and you don’t have to keep it connected to your iPhone forever.
Other MagSafe smart products
While these are some of the more common MagSafe categories out there, Apple’s technology has enabled a host of other smart products.
For example, there is MagSafe mounts specially designed to hold your phone up in the shower. there are magnetic suction cup handles for your iPhone. Has MagSafe charger in the form of globes. There are MagSafe sleeves designed to hold your iPhone easier to hold for photography. there are MagSafe ring to up your selfie game, MagSafe mounts to use iPhone as your Mac’s webcamand much more.
