However, on Thursday, Indian equities ended in the red as investors booked profits across sectors, with heavy selling pressure in IT stocks weighing on the indices.

- India CPI Inflation: India’s retail inflation edged higher for the third consecutive month under the revised series. The new Consumer Price Index (CPI), with 2024 as the base year, rose to 2.75% in January.
- Defence Acquisition Council: The Defence Acquisition Council (DAC), chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, approved capital acquisition proposals worth ₹3.60 lakh crore to meet critical requirements of the Indian Air Force, Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Indian Coast Guard. The council granted Acceptance of Necessity (AoN) for procuring Rafale fighter jets, combat missiles, Air-Ship Based High Altitude Pseudo Satellites (AS-HAPS), P8I aircraft, Vibhav anti-tank mines, and other defence equipment.
- Russia–US Talks: The Kremlin has outlined proposals that could pave the way for Russia to re-engage with the US dollar as part of a broader economic partnership with the Trump administration, according to an internal Russian document.
