Border 2 Box Office Collection Worldwide Day 18 UpdateBorder 2 Box Office Collection Worldwide Day 18 Update: Sunny Deol film is struggling at the box office.

Border 2 Box Office Collection Worldwide Day 18 Update: Border 2 may have arrived as a promising successor to Dhurandhar’s box-office tsunami, but it has failed to sustain the initial momentum. The film opened on a strong note with a Rs 30 crore collection on Day 1. The numbers surged over the weekend, earning Rs 36.5 crore on Saturday, Rs 54.5 crore on Sunday and peaking at Rs 59 crore on its first Monday which was Republic Day. With this, the film comfortably crossed the Rs 150 crore mark in its opening extended weekend. By the end of its first week, Border 2 had amassed Rs 224.25 crore, signaling a blockbuster run. However, the momentum began to slow significantly in the following days. On its 18th day, the film witnessed a sharp dip, earning just Rs 1.85 crore on Monday.

In contrast, Dhurandhar remained far more stable at the box office. On its 18th day, the film earned Rs 16.5 crore and stood at a total collection of Rs 365 crore—nearly Rs 24 crore ahead of Border 2 at the same point.

Border 2’s declining footfall was reflected in its occupancy figures as well. On Day 18, the film recorded an overall occupancy of just 6.83%, with 1,380 shows running across India. This marked a steep drop from its peak count of 6,012 shows—an overall reduction of nearly 4,632 screens.

Despite the slowdown, Border 2 has emerged as the second-highest-grossing film of Sunny Deol’s career, while also becoming the highest earner for Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty.

Notably, the film enjoyed a clear theatrical window, with no major releases scheduled until March. Yet, it failed to replicate Dhurandhar’s sustained box-office magic, as both shows and audience turnout continued to decline with each passing day.

The film, directed by Anurag Singh, is produced by JP Dutta and Nidhi Dutta.

‘Salman Khan shouted outside girlfriend’s building, beat up people’: Childhood friend says ‘kind-hearted’ superstar follows heart | Bollywood News

It is rare to find a Bollywood friendship that stands the test of time. The bond between Master Raju (Raju Shreshtha) and superstar Salman Khan is one such where they grew up together in Mumbai’s Bandra and spent their formative years together. In a recent interaction, actor Raju Shrestha, also known as Master Raju, spoke about spending his childhood with the actor and said that Salman has always been non-calculative and open-hearted, unlike what many would like to believe. He also spoke about many instances of Salman Khan’s hot-headedness in the past, saying the actor follows his heart, not his head.

Salman Khan’s childhood friend Raju Shreshtha on growing up together

Speaking to Siddharth Kannan, Raju admitted that he knew Salman much before he starred with him in the 1972 film Baaghi. He said, “I know Salman Khan much before Baaghi. We come from the same area. We both come from Bandra. We used to cycle together, when he was doing Patthar Ke Phool, before shooting, he used to practice skating at Bandstand. I used to cycle and he used to hold on to the carrier and practice skating.”

While Raju started acting in films as a child artist, Salman made his debut much later. Talking about the same, Raju said, “Me and Salman are friends from the time when people used to say that See Master Raju is standing and some boy is also standing next to him. So, I am friends with him from the time he was nothing. He has been very nice and kind and very misunderstood. He is a very nice man. After that, he only got me to play a role in Baaghi. We went to shoot for the film in Ooty and years after that, we did Chal Mere Bhai together.”

Master Raju recalls Salman’s reaction when he started calling him ‘aap’

Raju shared that he changed how he addressed his friend Salman after he became a superstar. “When Salman Khan became the Salman Khan and after that when I would meet him… earlier, I used to call him, ‘Salman tu’ and then I started calling him, ‘Bhai aap’. I used to call him ‘Bhai aap’ around people and Salman asked me, ‘Why are you calling me like this?’ But I told him that ‘you have become a mega star and if I call you, ‘Salman tu’, then you will tell Shera (Salman’s bodyguard) not to let me in the next time and will tell him to push me out of the room because you will feel that I am insulting you’.”

Sharing more about their changed dynamic, he said, “We used to talk about about anything. Salman and I have taken baths naked, but I don’t expect this today, he is a big star today. If I now go and be on his set and in his house for all the time, people will call me his chamcha.”

‘Salman sent big chunk of his earnings in lawyers during black buck case’

Salman Khan was embroiled in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case during the shooting of Chal Mere Bhai. When asked if the star was stressed during the shooting of the film, Raju said, “Yes, he was stressed, but on the face of it, he was not showing, but the environment around him was stressful. There was a time when a major chunk of Salman’s money was going in court case and hiring big lawyers, he had told me a lot of money was being spent there. He had told me that a big chunk of his earnings was going in this. He has always said that he is innocent and to prove that he had to spend so much money and go through so much stress. He told me he didn’t want to do all this.”

‘Salman hurled abuses, shouted while standing under his girlfriend’s building’

Calling Salman ‘happy go lucky’, Raju said, “He was funny, he never thought before saying anything, and he never used to think much before making friends. He is clean at heart. He was not calculative or manipulative. He is a very easy person and that is why he has often been caught in controversies.”

Raju admitted that Salman has misbehaved with women in his life but also defended him, saying that he thinks from his heart. “Salman has never had control over his emotions. Sometimes he would go and hurl abuses while standing under somebody’s building. He shouted while standing under his ex-girlfriend’s building, he would beat up someone so he didn’t control his emotions. He is a very sweet man. He doesn’t work from mind. He works from his heart,” he said. While Raju didn’t clarify which incident he was referring to, Salman Khan reportedly created a scene outside ex-girlfriend Aishwarya Rai’s home shortly after their breakup in 2002.

Farhan Akhtar demands Rs 40 crore from Ranveer Singh for walking out of Don 3: report | Bollywood News

Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment has reportedly demanded Rs 40 crore in damages from Ranveer Singh, following the actor’s alleged exit from the much-anticipated project Don 3 in December. The fallout between the two is said to have begun after Ranveer backed out of the film, prompting the production house to cite significant financial losses.

According to reports, Excel Entertainment has sought compensation for sunk development costs, along with delays related to scheduling, planning, and other associated commitments. A letter accessed by Variety India reportedly states that the production house has been forced to let go of several departments, asking heads of departments (HODs) to look for work outside the project.

Citing these losses, Farhan Akhtar’s team believes Ranveer Singh should compensate the company for the damages incurred.

A source told Variety, “Ranveer claims he exited the project because he was unhappy with the script. He repeatedly requested changes and was dissatisfied with the final draft. Excel, on the other hand, maintains that it moved ahead with pre-production only after Singh gave his approval.”

The report further states that Ranveer Singh and Excel Entertainment held a two-hour-long meeting on Friday, which reportedly did not yield any resolution. Both parties are said to have gone back and forth over accountability and financial responsibility, but no concrete outcome emerged.

With the dispute intensifying, the Producers Guild of India has now stepped in to mediate, attempting to find common ground and prevent the matter from escalating further.

The issue has sparked widespread discussion on social media, particularly on Reddit, where many users appeared to side with Ranveer Singh. One user wrote, “If they don’t have anything from Ranveer Singh in writing, they don’t have any case.” Another commented, “If Ranveer took a signing amount, he should return only that amount, deducting whatever he spent time on for the teaser. Other than that, why would he pay anything else? He backed out before the filming schedule was even ready.”

Another user questioned the scale of the alleged losses, writing, “₹40 crore is a massive amount, even by big-budget film standards. Pre-production usually involves screenplay development, casting, location scouting, crew hiring, budgeting, storyboarding, and production design. Spending ₹40 crore at this stage sounds excessive. How did they land in such a situation?”

Some users even accused Excel Entertainment of attempting to pressure the actor. “Excel has had several financially underperforming films in recent years. They’re pinning the blame on Ranveer Singh after he exited the repeatedly delayed Don 3, possibly to force him back or extract money under the guise of contractual losses,” one comment read.

Earlier, multiple reports had suggested that Don 3 was pushed to the backburner after the makers failed to find a suitable replacement for Ranveer Singh. The film was formally announced by Farhan Akhtar in 2023 with a special teaser featuring Ranveer. However, the movie never materialised.
