Rajpal Yadav’s Manager Reveals Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn Have United To Support The Actor

Date:

In a display of solidarity within the film industry, Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn have joined several other stars to support Rajpal Yadav during his ongoing financial and legal crisis. The actor, who recently surrendered at Tihar Jail due to an unpaid debt of nearly Rs 9 crore, is finding a massive support system in his colleagues as they rally to help him settle his dues.

Rajpal Yadav’s manager, Goldie, spoke to Indian Express about the industry’s response to Rajpal’s situation. Goldie revealed that many stars have reached out to offer monetary assistance. He said, “A lot of people have reached out to help Rajpal Yadav. Actors like Sonu Sood, Salman Khan, and Ajay Devgn have extended their support. I was just on a call with David Dhawan—he too reached out. Ratan Nain, Varun Dhawan… many people are coming forward to help him this time, which Rajpal has deeply appreciated.”

The manager explained that the industry’s backing has been valuable during this difficult period. Goldie added, “The good thing is that after his situation worsened, the industry has stood behind him like a rock and that should be appreciated. Everyone has made commitments, but such transactions don’t happen overnight.”

The financial crisis originated from a loan originally totalling Rs 5 crore taken in 2010 for Rajpal Yadav’s directorial debut, Ata Pata Lapata. After the film’s failure at the box office and subsequent interest, the debt increased to approximately Rs 9 crore. Before surrendering, Rajpal Yadav had told the media, “What can I do? I have no money to pay. I am all alone.”

However, the tide seems to be turning for the actor. Beyond the superstars, other industry members have also pledged specific amounts. Music director Rao Inderjeet Singh Yadav pledged Rs 1.11 crore, while politician Tej Pratap Yadav announced contribution of Rs 11 lakh.

About the actor’s legal status, the family remains optimistic. Goldie shared that a bail application has been filed, with the hearing scheduled for tomorrow. Goldie revealed, ” Mentally, the family has to remain strong. Rajpal Bhai himself is very strong, and that strength runs in the family. There are also several celebrations lined up at home, with family functions scheduled later in February. Everyone wants Rajpal Bhai to be out by then. Hopefully, he should be out by tomorrow.”

He added, “We have his bail hearing scheduled for tomorrow, and we are hopeful that he will be granted bail and released. The bail application has already been filed. We will be able to share more details after the hearing tomorrow.”
