Sanju Samson Breaks Records, Leads India to T20 World Cup Semi-Finals

The Indian team advanced to the knockout round of the current T20 World Cup. The team played against West Indies during the 52nd match of the tournament which took place at Eden Gardens in Kolkata and achieved a five-wicket triumph. The victory for the Men in Blue came through the outstanding batting performance of Sanju Samson.

Samson achieved an outstanding performance during the run chase when he scored 97* runs from 50 balls to lead India to victory and their spot in the tournament semi-finals.

Samson scored 97* runs during the run chase which allowed him to break the records of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav to achieve the second-highest T20 World Cup score for the Indian team. Only former India batter Suresh Raina sits ahead of Samson with a score of 101 runs back in 2010.

Samson evaluated his match performance following the conclusion of the game. Samson explained his batting performance by stating that the match held great significance for him. He expressed that this night represented the moment he had been waiting for since he began his career.
