The Communist Party of India (Marxist) has raised serious concerns over large-scale deletions from electoral rolls in West Bengal, with its General Secretary M.A. Baby on Thursday (April 9, 2026) writing to the Election Commission seeking urgent intervention.

In a letter addressed to Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, Mr. Baby expressed “anguish, grave concern and strong protest” over the situation.
